OUR MISSION

jane’s fund pours love and light into the community by providing encouragement and financial support to students attending under-resourced schools and families with a child battling terminal cancer.

WHAT WE DO

By providing resources to individuals and nonprofits, Jane’s Fund seeks to improve the educational, medical and physical well-being for children, giving the opportunity of new life, hope, and a thriving future.

We do this through project-based giving, unconventional outreach, relentless heart, courage and compassion, quiet grace and leadership, faith in action, & abundant generosity.

Jane’s Fund partners with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Title 1 schools, funding various opportunities for educational growth, and Charlotte Regional Hospitals, providing hope and stability to families in need.

FIVE MONTHS TO LIVE

Recognizing she would die from DIPG, an inoperable brain tumor, Jane challenged her peers in a high school speech she didn’t live to give: “I now know it’s not I that’s going to grow up and change the world; the job belongs to each of you. You are the light of the world. Shine it. You are the salt of the earth. Share it.”

  • "Thank you, Jane's Fund, for showing us there are still good people in the world."

-Tracie, mom of Kaiden, age 7, medulloblastoma (brain cancer)

  • "For a family not to have to worry about a huge car or mortgage payment is a gift like no other. Jane’s Fund fills a void in the terminal pediatric cancer world that nobody else is meeting.”

-Emily, Social Worker at Atrium Health

  • “Jane’s Fund has had a profound impact at Renaissance West STEAM Academy and has provided opportunities that have exposed our students to experiences they would not have otherwise imagined. They also support and encourage our staff in so many ways.”

    - Alisa Jones of Renaissance West STEAM Academy

  • “No amount of kind words could ever change how you feel about your daughter’s passing. I would trade all the generous acts provided to us if it would just heal her, but know your Jane is working and showing up here in this world even if her physical body isn’t present. And you are part of that reason.”

    - Jade, mother of Sunnie, age 10, DIPG
