Our “Why”

None of us will ever know why some kids die of cancer and others are born into poverty and attend under-resourced schools, but at Jane’s Fund, we do know why we’re able to provide hope in the form of life-changing support: our staff, donors, and volunteers.

This week, we asked a few of them "Why Jane's Fund?"

Danielle Thibodeau, Jane's Fund Development Manager, shared it beautifully:

“My why to support and be here and be a part of the Jane’s Fund team is more than just the work that I actually do. It’s a constant reminder of what love looks like in action.”

Every day, Danielle sees generosity turn into real support for the children and families we serve.

Volunteer Leslie Schlernitzauer shares why she shares her valuable time with Jane’s Fund:

“My why is to empower families to be able to be present in their family’s most urgent time of need, to support school age children to receive the tools they need to thrive. This nonprofit uses 100 percent of your investment to help those in need. We all have a responsibility to support our community, but Jane’s Fund just makes it easy.”

Jane’s Fund exists because Jane believed that love moves. Love shows up. Love builds. Love restores. When community works together, love multiplies.

Every single one of you who gives, volunteers, attends, shares, and believes is part of our why, and the reason we have many miracles to share each Monday.

We hope each of you will join us as we celebrate Three Years of Jane’s Fund on Thursday, March 5th.
