Raising the Bar for West Charlotte

The West Charlotte Girls Track Team didn’t just show up this season…they leveled up.

Through Jane’s Fund support, these incredible young women received a brand new high jump mat, giving them the tools to train safely, confidently, and at a higher standard every single day.

And when opportunity called, Jane's Fund raised our hands to sponsor the female competitors to travel to the Myrtle Beach Run Invitational to compete for the first time on an elite stage.

Facing more than 1,500 athletes from 10 states, our West Charlotte athletes didn’t flinch. They rose to the moment, delivering multiple season bests, climbing the North Carolina state rankings, and earning podium finishes against top-tier competition. 

But the real victory can’t be measured in times or placements.

It was a shift in mindset.

For many of these athletes, the Myrtle Beach Run Invitational was their first time stepping into a high-level, highly competitive environment. And they walked away knowing something powerful: They belong here. They can compete with the best. They can rise to the challenge. They can dream bigger.

That kind of confidence changes everything. Not just on the track, but in classrooms, in communities, and in the paths these young women will take moving forward.

From providing essential equipment to opening doors to life-changing experiences, Jane's Fund is helping create space for confidence, growth, and opportunity.
