The Miracle of a Life: Ann Shea

The challenge of sharing a miracle each Monday at Jane's Fund is words often fall short, which is especially the case when attempting to describe the  life of Ann Shea: well-lived, days on earth too few, yet her gifts of LOVE, COURAGE, FAITH, JOY, and SELFLESSNESS planted in the hearts of those she knew, and others she did not, will continue to change the world forever.

Choosing to NEVER make life about herself or her four-year battle with stage IV lung cancer, instead Ann chose to persevere through seasons of  incomprehensible suffering to give every ounce of her energy to making the lives of those around her better, as if she did not know she was dying: celebrating every milestone of her triplets' lives as if it were their last day; listening and encouraging friends and family through life's minor bumps and hurdles; and honoring the love of her life (Gil) until her last breath.

Asking, investing, and being interested in Jane's Fund and how to make kids' lives in the community better,  whether dying of cancer, or living in poverty, is one miniscule example of the ripple effect of Ann that will have no end.

"Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address.”
