911

Diagnosed with leukemia at six months of age, Violet has only known hospitals, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, and ambulance rides for the majority of her 33 short months.

This week, the promising clinical trial in Cincinnati proved not to work, and Violet's family (Mom, Dad, and five-year-old sister Adelaide) made the difficult decision to transport Violet back to North Carolina to die in their home. The cancer, now erupting into nodules on Violet's skin, has no treatment options. The medical air transport back to the pediatric oncology unit at Atrium Levine Baptist did not happen without risk as Violet's breathing became labored.

Taking an ambulance home for the last time this week—hospice now engaged —Jane's Fund is answering a 911 call to help provide funeral and basic living expenses for Violet's family until Mom and Dad return to work and five-year-old Adelaide resumes kindergarten.

Preparing to navigate a "new normal" without a cancer fight followed by life without Violet, the three-some is in need of a "road trip" to celebrate Violet's life and remember what it feels like to live outside, breathe in fresh air, and experience nature's miracles   — and the family cannot do it without help and HOPE.

Please help Jane's Fund provide Violet's family with the much-needed love and resources to survive...which also includes a road trip to explore the great outdoors and celebrate the miracle of Violet.
