The Mayor

Five-year-old Onyx loved the deep ocean, outer space, monster trucks, and making new friends. His dad called him “The Mayor” because of how naturally he connected with people and made instant friends with complete strangers.

Diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain cancer, Onyx did not let the diagnosis define him. Instead, he chose to live his short life to the fullest - loving, encouraging, and uniting the community who stepped up to support him.

Following Onyx’s lead of loving others and bringing community together, Jane’s Fund paid off a car for his father, along with months of rent for his mother.
