The Power of What They See

At Jane’s Fund, we believe what a child sees can shape what they believe is possible.

Last week, because of your generosity, 83 students from Ranson Middle School stepped into something bigger than their everyday environment. They experienced Beat the Streets, a powerful program designed to inspire young people to rise above challenges, work together, and pursue their dreams.

This was more than a field trip.

It was a moment of exposure.

Through storytelling that reflects real-life struggles and triumphs, Beat the Streets tackles the issues students face every day, from peer pressure to bullying, while showing them a different path forward. A path rooted in resilience, teamwork, and belief in themselves.

For many of these students, this experience planted a seed.

A seed that says:
You are capable.
You are not alone.
Your future can look different than your present.

Programs like Beat the Streets meet students where they are and help them see where they can go.

Thanks to your support, 83 students didn’t just hear a message, they felt it, saw themselves in it, and carried it with them beyond that room.
